ODC Project SEARCH shines at National Conference

The National Project SEARCH conference is back in-person and ODC Project SEARCH staff were recognized and asked to present at this year’s event!

This year’s Project SEARCH national conference is being held in Baltimore, Maryland, July 25-29 with over 750 attendees from all over the country and world including attendees from the UK and Iceland. Thanks to the funding source Department of Vocational Rehabilitation, over 50 Wisconsinites including eight ODC Project SEARCH staff are attending three full days of professional development and networking .

ODC’s Marshfield Project SEARCH site was recognized during the conference opening ceremony for achieving 90% outcome success during the 2020-2021 school year!

In addition, three ODC staff were asked to be presenters at the conference to share the collaborative ways ODC worked as an organization to provide services to their five sites in Central & Northern Wisconsin.

Congratulations ODC Project SEARCH staff! We are beyond thrilled!

About Project SEARCH: Project SEARCH was developed in 1996 by Nurse J. Erin Riehle, then the Director of the Emergency Department at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. As the flagship program, Cincinnati Children's Hospital provides technical assistance for replication and leadership worldwide.

As of 2021, Project SEARCH has over 640 programs internationally, with Project SEARCH Sites in 48 states, and 10 countries. Traditionally, healthcare facilities have been the most common sites, though in recent years new types of host sites have emerged including airports, manufacturing facilities, casinos, and even national parks!
