ABOUT THE CLINIC
Located within ODC in Wisconsin Rapids, Opportunity for Hope is ODC’s new Outpatient Mental Health Clinic. There are future plans of a Stevens Point satellite office in 2023. ODC’s Mental Health Services supports adults, adolescents and children through recovery from mental health and/or substance abuse disorders in collaboration with our partners within the counties and Managed Care Organizations. In 2019 ODC’s Mental Health Team supported 45 individuals which increased in 2021 to 125. Opportunity for Hope will address the growing and unmet needs for mental health services in Central WI by supporting schools, and decreasing waitlists for services while providing support to an increased number of people working to improve their mental health. The clinic is slated to open June 1, 2022.
ABOUT THE COURSE
The Sandbox, voted “Best New Short Course” by Golf Magazine, is a 17-hole short walking course at Sand Valley, providing an intimate connection to the sand county landscape of central Wisconsin. Located 50 yards from the Clubhouse and in the backyard of some of the lodges, The Sandbox plays through a restored sand prairie that sits within the same V-shaped sand ridge that frames the Mammoth Dunes course.
With holes ranging from 40 to 140 yards, the short course features unique green complexes found on the property, including a biarritz, double plateau, lion’s mouth, and a redan.
