ODC staff and participants are thrilled to once again be attending the Wisconsin Board for People with Developmental Disabilities’ annual conference in Wisconsin Dells, called the Wisconsin Self-Determination Conference. Conference sessions are designed to empower people with disabilities to have more control over their lives. More than 600 people participate in the conference each year to learn more about self-determination and self-directed supports so they can live independently and be active members of their communities. Conference participants include people with disabilities and their family members, and professionals from Wisconsin’s disability community.
This annual conference is uniquely designed to bring peers together to increase their confidence and find their voice. They leave with a greater knowledge of programs and services available to individuals with disabilities, and how individuals can speak out about their wants and needs.
Have a great time, ODC team!
