ODC’s Stevens Point Day Services groups are enjoying this beautiful fall weather by exploring and learning new things about their community and the people with whom they share it.
A monthly luncheon at Highland Church gives group members the opportunity to share a meal with new friends. Time at the Wisconsin Korean War Veterans Memorial was spent learning about the war and that time in our country’s history. A quiet day at Heartland Stables spent grooming the horses – and treating them to lots of carrots – is the group’s favorite monthly excursion… and it’s never too early to start planning your Halloween costume!
Each Day Services excursion builds a higher level of independence, increased physical fitness and wellness, self-confidence, safety awareness and social skills. What a great way to spend the day!
